Gary R. Mulligan, age 74, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA, died Thursday, January 31, 2019, at home. Gary was a graduate of Haverford High School. Gary served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1963-1964. He retired from the Aviation Industry in 1990. Gary was a part time Police Officer with Chester Twp., lifetime member of Parkside Fire Co., active Fire Police Captain and an active member of Aston Twp. Fire Police. Mr. Mulligan belongs to the Fraternal Order of Police, Police Benevolent Association, International Police Officers Association District 10, Delaware County Fireman’s Association and the PA State Fire Police Association. Gary was an active member of the American Legion Post #926.
Son of the late John C. and Sally A. (Dunn) Mulligan; brother of the late Ruth Mulligan and Rev. William R. Mulligan. Survivors: Wife: Sherri (Mamenko) Mulligan; Daughter: Blair (Michael) Masciantonio; Sons: Sean (Erinn) Mulligan, Daniel (Christine) Mulligan and Gary (Allie) Mulligan; 5 Grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, February 6th from 9:00-10:30AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015, followed by Military Honors. Interment: Private.
